Emoj is a key participant in the European DistriMuSe project, funded by the KDT Joint Undertaking programme, which aims to develop advanced monitoring and safety solutions leveraging multi-sensor systems and artificial intelligence algorithms.
The core objective of DistriMuSe is to innovate and implement technologies that deeply understand and interpret human behavior and environmental conditions. Leveraging our expertise in intelligent systems and computer vision, Emoj plays a crucial role in developing advanced technologies for road safety and industrial environments.
In the automotive safety domain (UC2), Emoj focuses on creating cutting-edge driver monitoring systems. Using RGB and IR RGB cameras, our algorithms detect and analyze real-time driver attention and distraction levels by interpreting facial expressions, gaze direction, and head orientation. This data allows the system to provide timely interventions through advanced Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), significantly enhancing comfort and safety during driving.
In industrial environments (UC3), Emoj develops movement and posture analysis systems to ensure the safety of operators interacting with machinery and robots. By optimally integrating camera systems, our solutions rapidly identify ergonomic risks and potential hazards. Special attention is given to camera calibration and synchronization to ensure high accuracy and reduce false positives.
Emoj continuously validates these solutions through rigorous testing in realistic simulation environments and operational scenarios, ensuring high reliability under varying conditions such as changing lighting and noise levels.
